Caring for Your Zinniars Garments

Every Zinniars garment is thoughtfully crafted using carefully selected fabrics. Following the recommended care instructions will help preserve the garment's colour, shape and finish for longer.

Before You Wash

  • Always read the care label attached to your garment.
  • Separate light and dark colours before washing.
  • Fasten buttons, hooks and zippers before washing.
  • Turn garments inside out before washing to help protect colours, prints and surface detailing.
  • Check pockets and remove any accessories before washing.

Special Care for Dark Colours

Dark-coloured garments may release excess dye during the first few washes.

  • Wash dark colours separately.
  • Wash inside out.
  • Use cold water.
  • Do not soak for extended periods.
  • Dry in shade away from direct sunlight.

Prints, Embroidery & Embellishments

Garments featuring prints, appliqué, patchwork, embroidery, lace, sequins or decorative trims require extra care.

  • Wash inside out.
  • Prefer hand wash or a gentle machine cycle.
  • Do not wring or twist the garment.
  • Avoid rubbing embellished areas.
  • Dry flat or hang to dry in shade.
  • Iron from the reverse side when required.
  • Do not iron directly over prints, embroidery or embellishments.

Linen & Linen Blends

  • Avoid harsh detergents.
  • Wash with similar colours.

Modal, Rayon & Viscose Blends

  • Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle.
  • Avoid excessive wringing.
  • Dry naturally.

Silk & Silk Blends

  • Dry clean is recommended unless the care label states otherwise.
  • Avoid soaking for long periods.
  • Handle gently while washing.

Polyester Blends

  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle.
  • Avoid high heat during washing and drying.

Winter Fabrics (Shoddy Blends)

  • Dry clean is recommended for best results.
  • If hand washing, use cold water and a wool-safe detergent.
  • Dry flat to maintain shape.

Drying

  • Dry garments in the shade whenever possible.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Do not tumble dry unless the care label specifically permits it.

Ironing

  • Steam Iron at the temperature recommended on the care label.
  • Use a low to medium heat setting for delicate fabrics.
  • Turn embroidered or embellished garments inside out before ironing.
  • Avoid ironing directly over prints, lace or decorative trims.

Storage

  • Store garments in a cool, dry place.
  • Fold knitted and winter garments to help maintain their shape.
  • Use padded or quality hangers for dresses and shirts.
  • Keep garments away from excessive moisture.
